Abstract
Thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonates having average molecular weights Mw of at least 10,000 which contain bifunctional carbonate structural units corresponding formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 independently of one another represent hydrogen, a C.sub.1-12 hydrocarbon, halogen,
