Abstract

Patient supporting means having a patient supporting surface member that is mounted on a base by means of at least two longitudinal guides so as to be pivotable around a horizontal swiveling axis S. Central axes of the longitudinal guides are positioned within a plane E that extends perpendicularly to the swiveling axis X. The axes of the longitudinal guides describe an angle .alpha. that is less than 180.degree.. The longitudinal guides are pivotable about axes that extend parallel to the swiveling axis 5.
