Abstract

This invention is addressed to antioxidants which are polymerizable using the Ziegler catalyst system. The antioxidant of the present invention has the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each aryl groups containing a hindered antioxidant structure imparting antioxidant properties to the compounds. The compounds of the present invention are useful in the polymerization of olefin compounds using Ziegler catalyst systems whereby the antioxidant of the invention becomes chemically bound to the polymer while, at the same time, imparting antioxidant properties thereto.
