Cyclic disulfide and linear dynorphin Dyn A.sub.1-11 and dynorphin Dyn A.sub.1-13 analogs which are highly specific for .kappa. opioid receptors. These analogs are useful in pharmaceutical compositions and for the analysis of opioid receptor/ligand interactions.
