Abstract
A metallic pigment composition which comprises a metallic pigment and a phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of a phosphite represented by the following formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which are the same or different, represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, a halogen-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, an aryl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkanol group, and n is an integer of 2 to 4, and a phosphobetain represented by the following formula (II) ##STR2## wherein R.sub.4, R.sub.5, and R.sub.6 and R.sub.7, which are the same or different, represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, a halogen-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, an aryl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkanol group, n is the same as mentioned above.
