Novel imidazoquinolone derivative represented by formula (I); ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents lower alkyl or --(CH.sub.2).sub.m CO--R.sup.3 where R.sup.3 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl, hydroxy or lower alkoxy; and m is an integer of 1 to 3; R.sup.2 represents lower alkyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
