Abstract
The present invention is directed to a process for the preparation of N,N'-bis-(3-aminophenyl)-ureas corresponding to formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R represents a linear or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group which is in the 2-, 4- and/or 6-position, characterized in that the corresponding phenylene diamines are reacted with urea in a molar ratio of greater than 2:1 in chlorobenzene as solvent.
