Abstract
Disclosed is a method for isomerizing paraffinic hydrocarbons which comprises contacting the paraffinic hydrocarbon with a noble-metal containing zeolite catalyst under isomerization conditions. The noble-metal catalyst are prepared by treating a zeolite selected from the acidic zeolites, LZ-210 type zeolites, and mordenite, with a noble-metal compound selected from Pt(acetylacetonate).sub.2 and Pd(acetylacetonate).sub.2.
