Abstract

A water-in-oil emulsion, having improved stability, is provided which comprises about 40 to 80 percent by weight of an oil of lubricating viscosity; about 10 to less than about 60 percent by weight water, said percentages based on the total weight of the emulsion; a water-in-oil emulsifier; and an emulsion stabilizing amount of a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of sulfurized diisobutylene, sulfurized triisobutylene and mixtures thereof.
