Abstract

A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one layer of the material containing the combination of a water-insoluble homopolymer or copolymer which has an amido bond in the repeating unit and at least one compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an amido group or a sulfonamido group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, each represents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an amido group, a sulfonamido group, hydrogen, a halogen atom, a sulfo group, a carboxyl group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an acyl group or a sulfonyl group, provided that R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be linked to form a carbocyclic ring; and Y represents a hydroxyl group or a sulfonamido group.
