Abstract

A photoconductor for electrophotography comprises a substrate and a photosensitive layer formed on the substrate and including a novel tetrakisazo compound. The one type of the tetrakisazo compound is represented by the following general formula. ##STR1## Wherein A stands for a coupler residual group and R stands for one of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group and an aryl group which may have a substituent group.
