Abstract
The instant disclosure is directed to a silanated metal-pillared interlayered clay which comprises the reaction product of a metal-pillared interlayered clay and a silanating agent. The clay finds application as a catalyst in the isomerization of olefins and in the conversion of syngas intermediates into hydrocarbon streams rich in C.sub.3 and C.sub.4 hydrocarbons.
