Abstract
A compound comprising a deletion analogue of an amide or carboxy-terminating Magainin I of the following structural formula using the single letter amino acid code: ##STR1## and wherein at least one of amino acid residues 15 through 23 is omitted; or a deletion analogue of an amide or carboxy-terminated Magainin II of the following structural formula using the single letter amino acid code: ##STR2## and wherein at least one of amino acid residues 15 through 23 is omitted. These compounds can be effectively used as pharmaceutical compositions.
