Abstract

A memory card connector arranged is related such that, at the time of initial insertion and removal of a memory card, the contact pieces of the connector do not come in contact with the external contact pieces of a memory card, thus preventing the operator from receiving the spring loads stored in the contact pieces, at the time of such insertion and removal. At a set position of the memory card, the slider engaged with the memory card is moved toward the contact pieces with the use of a raised guide surface. Accordingly, the contact pieces displaced against the resiliency thereof come in contact with the external contact pieces of the memory card.
