Abstract

A basic injection quantity is determined by engine speed and pressure in an intake passage of an engine. The pressure is estimated from engine speed and throttle position. A transient state such as acceleration of the engine is detected. When the transient state is detected, the estimated pressure is selected, and the basic injection quantity is determined based on the estimated pressure.
