Abstract

A method of gradation and selection of micro picture elements in a picture display where the picture is reproduced as a plurality of dots each corresponding to a picture element comprised of a plurality of micro picture elements. Each picture element is shaped and the gradation selected such that the number of colored micro picture elements in point-contact of contiguous picture elements is not larger than two.
