Abstract

A metallizing composition essentially consists of given amounts of Ni, Nb, Cr, C, Si, Zr, SiC and W and is used for metallizing the surface of ceramics such as Si.sub.3 N.sub.4, SIALON, A1N, high purity alumina and so on. This composition forms a metallized layer having an excellent bonding strength to the ceramic surface.
