Abstract

Disclosed is a process for fitting a cylindrical sleeve around a cylindrical core. The core is covered with a layer of compressible material. Upon mounting a pressurized medium is fed between the inner surface of the sleeve and the outer surface of the compressible layer. The compressible layer, of which at least the outer layer is impermeable for the pressurized medium, is compressed and the sleeve can be slid on the core. Also is disclosed a roller core for use in a process as discussed above.
