Compounds of the general formulae ##STR1## in which R may be a methyl or ethyl radical and R.sup.1 may be a hydrogen, methyl or ethyl radical are disclosed. Also provided as part of the present invention are processes for the preparation of the above compounds. The compounds of the invention are useful as scents.
