Abstract

A method of continuously processing an imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is described, in which subsequent to a bleach-fixing step or bleaching and fixing steps the material is washed in a water washing step in the presense of at least one compound represented by general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein M is a hydrogen atom, a lithium atom, a sodium atom, a potassium atom or an ammonium ion and each M may be the same or different. This method permits great reduction of the amount of water used in the washing step in the processing of silver halide color photographic light-sensitive materials.
