Abstract
Metallothionein transcription control sequences, promoters or inducing regions, free of DNA encoding metallothionein, are used to inducibly express genes encoding polypeptides of interest. Vectors and host expression systems using the transciption control sequences, promoters and/or inducing regions are provided.
