A postage meter die in a postage meter includes a printwheel assembly for printing ZIP CODE or other location information in place of the CITY-STATE information normally required for Post Office licensed postage meters. The printer assembly is accessible by authorized personnel to allow the ZIP CODE to be changed to correspond to the ZIP CODE location of the meter user.
