Abstract
A photoconductor for electrophotography comprises a substrate and a photosensitive layer formed on the substrate and including a novel azo compound. The one type of the azo compound is represented by the following general formula. ##STR1## Wherein Cp stand for a coupler residual group and R.sub.1 stand for one of a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group and carbamoyl group.
