Abstract
A method for the preparation of masterbatch compositions for use in thermoplastic resin modification by blending polybutene with an ethylene..alpha.-olefin copolymer which is obtained by copolymerizing ethylene and .alpha.-olefin in the presence of specific catalysts and has specific characteristics such as a density of exceeding 0.910 g/cm.sup.3 and 0.940 g/cm.sup.3 or less, and successively by kneading and extruding the blend in the temperature range from the maximum peak temperature (Tm) to (Tm-45.degree. C.) in accordance with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
