Abstract

A finish composition for synthetic yarns contains 10-80 wt % of a lubricant including a compound shown by Formula (1) given below and 10-60 wt % of a surfactant: ##STR1## where Y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 are monocarboxylic acid residues shown by Formula (2) or Formula (3) given below, at least one of Y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 being monocarboxylic acid residue shown by Formula (2), A.sup.1 and A.sup.2 are alkylene groups with 2-4 carbon atoms, m and n are same or different, each being 0 or an integer in the range of 1-10, p and q are equal or different, each being 0 or an integer in the range of 1-4 such that (p+q) is an integer in the range of 1-4:
