Abstract
A recording liquid comprising an organic solvent and at least one compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, a carboxylic acid ester group or a carbamoyl group; R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; and R.sub.3 represents an aryl group provided that none of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is substituted with a sulfonic acid group. The yellow recording liquid has good color and excellent light resistance with good solubility.
