Abstract
A method for processing a silver halide color photographic material comprising a reflective support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a color coupler or color couplers, which comprises the step of, after imagewise exposing, developing said silver halide color photographic material with a color developing solution which does not substantially contain benzyl alcohol and which contains an aromatic primary amine color developing agent represented by formula (A): ##STR1## wherein X represents a compound capable of forming a salt with a primary amine; and a compound represented by formula (I): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy or amino group; and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group; or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be bonded to each other to form a carbon ring or a hetero-ring. The color developing solution used in the present method has improved stability and color forming properties.
