Abstract

A recording material comprising a support, a microcapsule containing a substantially colorless electron-donating color former and a solvent, and an electron-accepting developer, wherein the color former is at least one selected from p-substituted aminophenylindolylphthalide derivatives, p-substituted aminophenylindolylazaphthalide derivatives and p-substituted aminophenylindolyldiazaphthalide derivatives, the solvent is a paraffin oil, and the amount of the solvent is at least 20% by weight based on the weight of the core substance.
