Abstract

A fluoroplastic coating is formed on the surface of a substrate, which is selected from the group consisting of zinc, zinc alloys and zinc platings, by (i) forming an anodic oxide film on the surface of the substrate by alternating current electrolysis, (ii) dipping the substrate with the anodic oxide film formed therein in a dispersion of a fluoroplastic to coat the anodic oxide film with the fluoroplastic; and (iii) subjecting the thus-coated substrate to a heat treatment at a temperature of at least 170.degree.
