Abstract

A para-substituted halogenobenzene derivative is prepared by halogenating a benzene derivative in the liquid phase in the presence of a molded zeolite catalyst body comprising, based on the weight of the molded zeolite catalyst body, 10 to 95% by weight of an L-type zeolite as the anhydrous state and 5 to 90% by weight of amorphous silica.
