Abstract

This provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor high in durability and sensitivity which comprises an electroconductive support and, provided thereon, a photosensitive layer containing an azo pigment represented by the formula [I]: ##STR1## wherein A represents an aryl group, a heterocyclic group or an alkyl group, Z represents a hydrogen atom, --B or --CH.dbd.CH--B wherein B represents an aryl group, a heterocyclic group or an alkyl group and Cp represents a coupler residue.
