Abstract

A pentadiene compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl or aralkyl group, R.sub.5 is an alkyl group, and X is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy group or a halogen atom.
