Abstract

This invention relates to a method of improving the adhesion between a layer of vinylidene chloride copolymer and a layer of a linear ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and to the film produced thereby. More particularly, the invention relates to heat shrinkable films having a barrier layer of vinylidene chloride copolymer and a layer of linear low density polyethylene or very low density polyethylene and to a method for increasing the adhesion between the layers and thereby decreasing the incidence of delamination by blending the linear ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer with an ethylene/butyl-acrylate copolymer.
