Abstract
A non-linear optical device applicable to use such as the generation of the higher harmonic waves and the parametric amplification of laser beam is disclosed. The device comprises a crystal of a compound represented by the following Formula I: ##STR1## wherein A is an electron attractive group having 0 to 5 carbon atoms; R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkenyl group; R.sub.2 is a hydroxyl group, an acylamino group or a ureido group; and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom or a mono-valent substituent.
