Abstract
A locking mechanism for a modular communication socket in which device with locking mechanism is inserted into socket, and a sliding bolt is positioned posterior to retention shoulder of socket preventing the removal of device from socket, and therefore making socket unusable while device remains in socket, said device also allowing for the unlocking and removal of device from socket so that the communication socket may again be used.
