2.beta.,16.beta.-diamino-3.alpha.,17.alpha.-oxygenated androstanes having one quaternized group, process for the preparation of these compounds and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds as the active ingredient. The aforementioned compounds are favourable neuro-muscular blocking agents.
