Abstract
A delay circuit for an integrated circuit or a circuit mounted on a printed board regulates the signal transfer time of a signal transfer line by utilizing the Miller effect without using any delay element to delay a signal properly according to an operating mode of the circuit. The delay device includes a first line for transferring a first signal, and a second line or a plurality of second lines provided near the first line. The signal transfer time of the first line in transferring the first signal is determined selectively by applying a second signal of the same phase as that of the first signal or of a phase opposite to that of the first signal to the second line or selectively to one of the plurality of second lines.
