Abstract

A method for preparing a silver halide photographic emulsion is disclosed, comprising silver halide grains having silver halide protrusions on the surface of the silver halide grain matrix, wherein the silver halide grain matrix is chemically sensitized and then the silver halide protrusions are formed on the surface of the thus chemically sensitized silver halide grain matrix.
