Abstract

Environmental sealing may be achieved by means of a flexible envelope having therein a sealing material having a cone penetration value preferably from 100-350 (10.sup.-1 mm) and an ultimate elongation of at least 100%. The material is preferably mechanically deformed preferably by shear and preferably causing it to be comminuted.
