Abstract

A process for the production of dimension-stable polyester cord by means of a two-stage heat treatment including initially stretching at 205.degree.-250.degree. C. between 3 and 7 percent, and subsequently relaxing at 205.degree.-250.degree. C. between 3 and 7 percent. There results a dimension-stable polyester cord displaying a shrinkage of less than 1.2 percent.
