Abstract

An antimicrobial preparation of D-7-[.alpha.-(4-hydrooxy-6-methylnicotinamido)-4-hydroxyphenylacetamido]-3 -(1-methyltetrazol-5-yl)thiomethyl-.DELTA..sup.3 -cephem-4-sodium carboxylate (hereinafter referred to as 'Compound A' of enhanced stability is disclosed, which comprises a microbially effective amount of Compund A and a stabilizer selected from the class consisting of benzoic acid, sodium benzoate and nicotinamide.
