A K-252 compound represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently H or OH; X represents COOH, COOR or CH.sub.2 OH; Y represents H, R or COR; and Z represents OH, OR or SR, wherein R represents lower alkyl has C-kinase inhibitory activity and is expected to be useful as an active ingredient of anti-tumor agents, etc.
