Abstract

2,3-Dichlorobutadiene-1,3 is produced by a continuous dehydrochlorination of 1,2,3-trichlorobutene-3 in a water miscible solvent in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide. An evaporator is connected in the downstream of a reactor for the dehydrochlorination to recover the unreacted 1,2,3-trichlorobutene-3 and said water miscible solvent by an evaporation.
