Abstract
A nonwoven web is prepared from a polymeric blend comprising at least one elastomer and at least one thermoplastic resin. The nonwoven web comprises fibers produced by melt blowing the polymeric blend. Conventional techniques are used to accomplish the melt blowing but due to high viscosity of certain elastomers it is frequently necessary to degrade the polymer blend priior to melt blowing. The nonwoven web exhibits improved extensibility, texture and hand.
