Abstract

Novel devices for applying a lubricating medium to the skin comprising: (1) a porous matrix impregnated with a lubricating composition consisting essentially of an acid soap of at least one unsaturated higher fatty acid having at least 16 carbon atoms; and (2) a water-insoluble perforated sheet material adhered to one surface of the impregnated porous matrix and through which the lubricating composition can diffuse to the skin when moistened;
