Abstract
A Schiff base metal complex compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein rings A and B each denote an o-phenylene or o-naphthylene group having at least one long-chain hydrocarbon group represented by formula --X--C.sub.n H.sub.m (14.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.22, 21.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.45) in which X denotes a binding group between --C.sub.n H.sub.m and the ring A or B, such as --O--, --COO--, --NHCO-- or --S--,
