Abstract
A method for the preparation of dextran sulfate and salts thereof which comprises first forming a complex between sulfur trioxide and formamide at a controlled temperature between 15.degree.-40.degree. C. in the presence of dry nitrogen gas and thereafter reacting said complex with dextran at a controlled temperature between 25.degree.-55.degree. C.
