Abstract

A process is described by which two useful products, silane and hydrocarbyloxyaluminun hydride, can be produced concurrently and in excellent yield. The process involves reaction between tetrahydrocarbyloxysilane such as Si(OEt).sub.4 and tertiary amine alane such as AlH.sub.3 .multidot.NEt.sub.3.
