Abstract
A curved sliding door assembly for a transit vehicle such as a subway car which is particularly useful in retrofitting many cars having prior art hanger assemblies which employ a split tube having three circumferentially spaced raceways therein and which was subject to 'chattering', the improved hanger assembly including a pair of opposed ball bearing raceways slidably supporting a horizontally elongated hanger member equipped with end bores for the receipt of pivot pins, the pivot pins being carried by a hanger bar slidably inserted into the prior art door.
