Abstract

The invention relates to spirohydantoins of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are defined hereinbelow. Also disclosed are methods of preparation, pharmaceutical compositions containing at least one of these compounds, and methods of using said compounds for treatment and prevention of complications of diabetes and galactosemia.
